LIONS DEN 1 & 2
Big transformation(s) for my friends at Lions Den Tattoo in San Diego. After seeing my work online, Mike was inspired to blast over his shop and give Lions Den a new fresh look and vibe - and not once - twice!
The first trip was in 2019. I worked with the original building and signage - and painted during one of the worst recorded heatwaves…
I was back in 2022 - but this time, I really wanted to step it up and really working on enhancing the front area - so we pulled down the old signage and repainted it to incorporate within the design so it was bold and cohesive. And I eventually convinced Mike to let me remove the old shitty garden and repaint the front window to make it nice and clean. The weather was horrendous again - this time because of ‘ElNiño’ was just off the coast of Mexico. This meant extreme heat, wind and rain the entire time - which mean’t we had to setup portable gazebo’s and string tarps between the buildings and palm tree’s ..not a vibe.
In 2024, Lions Den moved to a new, much bigger and epic location - so was back to do the same for the new space - which you can see here.
