HAVE PAINT, WILL TRAVEL ™

Lamborghini

Working with Lamborghini has always been a dream of mine - so the opportunity to partner and collaborate with them was not only surreal and dream come true - but also an honour and privilege given it was to celebrate Lamborghini’s 60th Anniversario.

I was initially engaged to paint a canvas for the event - which don’t get me wrong, it would have been awesome - but this was the opportunity that I had been working tirelessly for 10 years for - so I really wanted to push myself and create something truly unique and impressive for the occasion - so I pitched the idea of painting a car for the event.

I had this vision of the car being front and centre of the event - and killing the lights and switching to UV lights and surprising the guests by revealing hidden UV artwork. That said, I had never painted a car before or used UV paint for that matter - just had the vision and sold the dream.

One thing I didn’t forsee was that I would be painting the brand new, unreleased $500,000+ Lamborghini Urus Performante

'TORO AUSTRALIANO’

Toro Australiano paid homage to the brands history, colours and homeland but designed in a new, fresh way, inspired by Australia and the classic ‘Green and Gold’ colour palette and Sydney, featuring two Sydney icons, the Harbour Bridge and Opera House loud and proud on the bonnet.

The artwork was also re-created into a run of limited edition, not-for-sale fine art prints that were going to be gifted to brand and the 50 VIP guests.

PRE-EVENT SHOOT

60TH ANNIVERSARIO

I was equally as excited as I was nervous - whilst also brimming with pride and relief as the hard work was done (and paid off), the dream was now a reality and it all turned out even better than I had hoped.

The event was held at the beautiful and iconic Bather’s Pavilion in the affluent Mosman, Sydney. The night began out front with champagne and canapés upon arrival and the reveal and introduction of theToro Australiano - and first look at the new, soon-to-be-released Lamborghini Urus Performante. Everything went perfect - from the reaction to sunset to the vibes. It was the perfect start to a great night.

The celebrations then moved inside for the 5 star, 9 course degustation catered by Michelin star chef, L’Enclume. Upon entry all guests were gifted with a limited edition, not-for-sale Toro Australiano fine art print to mark and celebrate the occasion.

POST EVENT

After the event,Toro Australiano was on display in the Lamborghini Sydney showroom - and was the face of multiple marketing campaigns (including the world famous Lamborghini Bull Run) before being sold to a private collector in Bondi Beach, Sydney. These are some of my favourite shots post event.
