When long time collector commissioned me to paint his lounge - I was stoked. Whilst I appreciate everyone that supports me and my work, painting in someone’s home always feels that little bit more special. As always, Wilfred just let me do my thing - and knowing he is an avid tattoo art collector - I knew he would love the big ‘tattoo flash sheet’ concept.
As someone that started my career with painting 100’s of this style artworks on paper - I was really excited with this idea - and so was he. That said, given this was a new ‘canvas’ and opportunity, I wanted to make it different to anything I had done in the past - so pitched the idea of incorporating UV paint and artwork into the mural - and we did.
So what you see is the first layer and artwork - what you don’t see is the UV artwork on top - which is only visible at night once the UV lights are switched on (or if you scroll down)
The added gorilla on the end wasn’t apart of the plan, I just did this for him as a surprise as a ‘thank you’
