Delta Airlines #INSTATRIPSCONTEST
When I painted the OG ‘Melbourne’ Mural, it was simply a tribute to the city in which my career began - I never expected it to gain the the attention that it did or to be recognised as one of the most iconic murals in Australia.
I couldn’t believe when Wieden+Kennedy (One of the world’s largest and leading agencies) reached out to me for this campaign - and that it was with one of America’s (and the world’s) largest airlines, Delta Airlines.
The ‘#DeltaInstaTrips Contest’ was celebrating 3x artworks from 3 different artists, from 3x different parts of the world - with an Instagram-based competition for residents of Los Angeles to WIN 2x return tickets to the city of where their favourite artwork was originally created.
Shok-1 was representing London, Nacho Bernal Mexico and I was representing Australia. My work was re-created on the world-famous, Melrose Avenue - which is where the private launch party was held.
The launched was based around and celebrated our 3 nationalities - with food trucks, music and bands to represent our countries. We kicked off the event with live painting before we clocked off and celebrated with everyone - was a total blast.
