BREWDOG
After many trips and years of admiring the bustling art scene in Berlin, I was over the moon for the opportunity to head over and collaborate with Scottish-based artist Plague Fisher, on Brewdog’s newest and most exciting venue yet, ‘Brewdog Dogtap’.
The venue and building is incredible. Not only because it’s historically significant (It was one of the only ones in the area that didn’t get destroyed in WW2) - It’s just huge and full of personality - which always makes for a fun and exciting project.
What wasn’t fun was the fact that I’m terrified of heights and this was the first time using a boom-lift orrrrr that I missed the induction (was in transit) and were left to figure out how to operate the German machinery on-site, jet-lagged as hell but we got there!
If you want to see the venue in full, you can go on a virtual tour here.

The Launch
“Dating back to 1901, the building - once home to the Mariendorf gasworks - has been reworked over recent months by the Scottish brand. That sublime red brick façade standing out among the lashing of greenery surrounding it. DogTap Berlin now serves as the brand’s European home; a new bucket-list destination for craft beer obsessives visiting the German capital.
Alongside the brewery, the 2,500-metres-squared taproom and 4,000 square metres beer garden, a range of beer activities - including home brew lessons, brewery tours and a beer museum - keep customers entertained, whilst Olympic-sized shuffle boards, classic arcade machines, miniature golf, a dog park and co-working space mean many may struggle to leave this cavernous ode to the craft beer business.”
