This ones always going to be one of personal favourites & monumental murals and moments in my career.
Not only was it one of my first pieces or my first official "collaboration" - it was with one of my favourite artists & one that inspired me to try aerosol in the first place.

It was 2010 and I had just moved from Brisbane to Melbourne. I had just left tattooing, narrowly avoided some jail time - and truth be told, I was quite lost and lacking purpose and life just wasn’t easy. During this time, for the first time I was submersed in the graffiti and street art culture - and started to fall in love with it. It was very different to what I knew and began to grow curious by the forever-changing neighbourhood I lived in ....which would quickly lead me to trying aerosol as a medium myself. Coming from the "tattoo world" it was all very new to me (and quite frankly the opposite) so I didn't know anyone or anything about anything, I just loved what I loved - which is how I came about fusing them both together in the first place. I had never seen it before so it was all a very organic and experimental process - and one that would not just give me purpose and but one that would change my life for the better & one that would ultimately essentially shape & build a new "industry" in my opinion.

It's all pretty crazy now looking back... but I always look back like I owe alot to Meggs for the time he gave me. Not only was he one of the first (and only) artists to give me time when I started out, he also showed me first-hand how a professional works and that it was possible to live off street-art in the first place ....which was something I didn't even know was possible at that point.

Forever grateful Meggs - and I mean that brother. I'll also never forget you giving me advice "Don't worry, you can always just paint over it" - it's always stuck with me and something I pass onto people starting out to this day!
